ASCS San Tan Ford Non Wing Sprint Cars Opens USA Raceway Season

ASCS San Tan Ford Desert Sprint Car Series opens up the weekly season of racing for USA Raceway – Tucson, Arizona this Saturday night. The Non Wing Sprint Car Series takes aim at the fastest track in the southwest in only their second show of the year. Round 1 saw Stevie Sussex take the win and ultimately the points lead over Pete Yerkovich and Sterling Cling. Heading into Saturday nights feature, Kyle Shipley, Dennis Gile, Aaron Jones and the rest of the contingent will look for redemption.

IMCA Sport Mods will also begin the 2020 campaign for track championship points. 2019 champion Mark Harrison confirmed his return to the division this Saturday night as well as runner up Bo Partain who is just coming off a victory at Arizona Speedway as well as a successful tour campaign. Local racer Johnny McCarty Jr will also throw his hat in the ring for the 2020 championship which begins Saturday.

Dwarf cars will make there debut to USA Raceway for the first time since 2016 where the stole the show during the World of Outlaws Thursday night event. Reining champ, Dusty Jager Racing will lead John Foster, Tyler Rodriguez and more into the 2020 opener.

Hornets round out the card with the self proclaimed “King of the Hornets” 2019 champ, Tim Olds leading in the field of 4 cylinders. Steven Bickford along with Fransisco Haro and the rest of the division will look to dethrone Olds on opening night.
